Gr-8 way to decide who loses their job!!
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 11:46 am

This is REALLY, REALLY GOOD…….

So, for any of you employers out there that find yourself in this situation…..give this a try. It only seems fair….they may have elected their President, but they lost their job in the process!

An Executive Decision
Dear Customers and Suppliers:

As the CFO of a business that employs 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama will be our next President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that our customers will have to see an increase in our prices of about 8%.

However, since we cannot increase prices right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn’t know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked thru our parking lot and found six Obama bumper stickers on our employees’ cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can’t think of a more fair way to approach this problem.

These folks wanted change, so I gave it to them. If you have a better idea, let me know.

Sincerely,
Name withheld to protect the employer

Damn right I’m mad
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 12:13 pm

I don’t care if you don’t agree. This is my blog and I get to write what I want, and, the joy of it is, I don’t have to listen to your crap unless I go to YOUR blog and read. So if you think I care about your opinion, well, I probably don’t. To my #1 fan, Cynthia Rose, you can shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. I am tired of you coming to my blog and spewing your crap. Go away.

Now, for today’s post. I like it. I agree with it. I did not, however, write it.

An interesting read?  by author unknown?

Damned Right I’m Still Mad - Gracious Losers My Ass!

Yes I’m still seething with rage. Call it BO derangement syndrome or just pure derangement - I. DON’T. CARE. I have put up with disgusting, vile and contemptible comments about my country and My President for 8 years so excuse me if I forego the “gracious loser” mantra. I have watched a fat pig congressman throw Marines under the bus for some face time and as a political ploy. I have put up with politicians publicly taking a dump on our Soldiers and Marines while the complicit media played right along with the game. Two years of listening to the bleating of a dumbo-earred socialist crap-cake calling for “hope” and “change” while eating from the same plate as Rashid Khalidi, Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright.

To all those bitter gun clinging Bible thumping racist rednecks in Pennsylvania - you get the representation you deserve. What kind of dumbasses re-elect a “man” like John Murtha? Like they said in The Departed - “What are you - f’ning retarded or something?”

To all my Jewish friends who voted for Obama - I’m ashamed of you.  I’ll turn a deaf ear to you when Iran lets loose on Israel while B.O. shares tea and crumpets with All-My-Jihad.

And to all the Catholics who elected the abortionist in chief?? I still haven’t figured that one out. It’s a shame the Church can’t get a roster of those that voted for B.O so you could be barred from communion. Every time a child is left in a soiled utility to die after a botched abortion, I hope you get a black mark on your soul.

Fox News - A big old F-U to you. When it looked like B.O would be coronated, you dropped all pretense of fair and balanced and turned into a clone of MSNBC. When will Olbermann get his own show on your network? He could join Shep Smith and they could fly off the handle together (or whatever sordid little things they like to do).

Those throwing Sarah Palin under the bus can kiss my big old white ass. I can’t decide if it’s insecurity due to a woman with power or if it’s just pure jealousy that a woman can look good, raise a family and be a governor but there would not have been 1/3 of the votes for McCain without Palin on the ticket.

I don’t want to hear another peep about racism or affirmative action. We’ve got our first affirmative action president. White guilt? Take your white guilt and shove it where the sun don’t shine. Don’t want to hear no bitching when the New Black Panthers become part of an Obama administration - after all they helped him out in Philly so he owes the brothers. All race cards have expired and are no longer valid in this country.

I look forward to watching the koolaid effect wear off over the next 4 years. It’s hard to believe in hope and change when you’re standing in the unemployment line. Free college education? Handouts? Help with your mortgage? Dream on - you’ll be lucky to still have a pot to piss in when the Dems get through with you. But don’t complain or Raehm “ballerina” Emmanuel will send you a dead fish…

Gracious Loser - no damn way. Not at the cost of my Country and the Constitution. Taking a cue from the new “first lady” - For the first time in my adult life, I’m ashamed of my country.

Frightened & not by Halloween!!
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 8:55 am

People are dropping like flies. Barbara West asked questions that WE ALL want to hear the answers to and the Obama campaign has cancelled all interviews and basically boycots that station now. Glenn Beck is moving from CNN (they love Obama) to Fox… in the meantime he’s no where. We don’t get to see Glenn Beck at a time when many of us need him. THANKS! This is the same tactic Hitler used ya know. They must silence all dissenting voices. That’s what Hitler did. So they act like Hitler, want to change our constitution into a socialist document (Marxism), associate with people who had every intention of and plans to carry out bombings that would have been WORSE than Oklahoma City (and Timothy McVeigh was PUT TO DEATH for that… too bad because I hear that maybe he coulda been a great college professor??? Like Bill Ayers). Bill Ayers, folks, is NOT in prison because he was innocent. He admits his guilt and doesn’t even, to this day, say he’s sorry. The government made a mistake in the investigation and due to our constitutional rights they could not prosecute Ayers & his “FBI Most Wanted Killing Pigs Is Groovy Chic” wife. *THAT* is the only reason why he is not in prison. DOES THIS SERIOUSLY NOT ADD UP?? How can America be so stupid as to want this man to lead our country?? And on the other hand be pissed off about Palin’s freaking WARDROBE?? My God people. We have the right to discuss the issues, the IMPORTANT ones, we have a right to have answers. We have a right to ask questions and NOT be kicked off the air or boycotted or have “dirt” dug up about us. Now a Sarah Palin manaquin is hanging, with a noose around it’s neck, from a house in CA. This should appall EVERYONE, not just some of us. This should be stopped. If that was Obama it would no doubt be linked to racisim and the homeowner would have all kinds of hell being brought against him. But it’s a white woman so what the heck. What do we care? This makes me sick folks. It makes me wanna barf. I can’t even imagine what her children think when they see that. I am so bothered and upset by all of this. In my statis this morning I put that I had insomnia because I couldn’t decide what to be for Halloween. The truth is that I had nightmares and couldn’t sleep past 4am because I am stressed out about the election and the creepy stuff happening. Thank God its almost over…. God help us all.

http://bismarcktribune.com/articles/2008/10/24/news/topnews/167654.txt

This is our only source of income. My husband is not worried. He is all calm and cool about it. I think he’s on something. Me… I am thinking… who says they’re going to open up again on Feb 2? Who says they’re not going to cut and run to Korea (where the parent company is)? In August they said there would be 8 or so days of “shut down” spread throughout the rest of the year. In September they called all of that off and said there would be no shut down days at all. Two days ago they informed everyone that they would be shut down over the whole week of Thanksgiving. The next day we are informed that they will be shut down for 6 weeks from mid Dec to Feb. So………….. what’s the story today? tomorrow? next week? Next month?? Feb?? Ya know……….. it’s hard to trust someone when they keep on changing the story.

Yes we will get unemployment at about 60% of salary, however, we live off of overtime which was cut a long time ago so we have already been sucking wind to get by on salary alone with no overtime. So we started job hunting. Found a job at Target making less than 1/3 of what he makes now, to work a couple days a week or whatever to supplement for Christmas and what not. So now we will have 60% of his income plus EVEN IF he were to work full time at Target it would be less than 30% of what he makes right now………. putting us back at square one, still needing another source of income to fill the propane tank and buy Christmas gifts for the kids.

Time to pack up and leave Bismarck?? Go home to Dickinson, work in the oil fields, go where we would have tons of family to help us with our kids and we could both work?? I don’t know. I just don’t know. I have been wanting to go back to school and get my degree in nursing. What the heck. Maybe it’s time.

Pray for us!! And pray that Obama is NOT elected. If he is, I fear that Bobcat will pack up and leave. Obama’s tax plan will hurt the company and punish them for having some of the work done in the Czech and China. They might just decide to hell with it and move “home” to their parent company in Korea, where labor and taxes will be better for them.

The Elephantsssssss In The Room!!
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 2:22 pm

A couple GREAT articles for you fromhttp://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29150

Imagine that after his arrest, Timothy McVeigh had been released from custody because of misconduct by police and/or an overzealous prosecutor. Imagine that after his release, McVeigh had bragged about setting the bomb that destroyed the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

Now picture McVeigh spending the next decade amassing degrees from prestigious universities and procuring grants to dispense funds to extreme right-wing groups. Imagine that he had become a tenured professor at a major university and an expert on education issues — and that he wrote a book about his experiences as a terrorist.

On the cover of a magazine, he is photographed stomping on an American flag. In the interview within that magazine, he is quoted as saying, “Guilty as hell! Free as a bird! America is a great country!” He is also quoted as saying that he does not regret blowing up the Murrah Building; in fact, he says, he wishes he had done more. Perhaps an abortion clinic bombing. Perhaps another federal building. Perhaps the White House.

Now imagine clear evidence is found that McVeigh had been associated with John McCain on several levels. Perhaps they served on a board together. Maybe McCain had helped McVeigh dispense some of those funds to right wing groups. Everyone this side of the planet Neptune knows that this would be a topic of discussion in numerous front-page articles in The New York Times and on every media outlet in America — and rightly so.

But that aside, what do you think the chances would be that other universities around the country would invite Timothy McVeigh to come and lecture their students? Well, that is exactly what happened at the University of Nebraska, but the unrepentant terrorist turned college professor and education expert in question is not Timothy McVeigh. He is William Ayers, Marxist professor and friend of Barack Obama, and he was invited to Lincoln to speak at the university next month.

The university’s department of education is having a celebration marking one hundred years of service to the community and the state. Ayers was scheduled to speak on November 15. The invitation was extended to him in February of this year. The excuse given for this inexcusable invitation is that Ayers is an “expert in education issues” and that those extending it did not know about Ayers’ terrorist past. Right.

This man’s past as the founder of the Weather Underground, a 1970s offshoot of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) — a past that included bombing the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol and a New York City police headquarters building — has been known to everyone paying the slightest bit of attention for at least the last year. His association with Obama has been public knowledge since before the Democratic Primaries last winter and spring.

Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman, Attorney General Jon Bruning, University Regent Randy Furlic and even U.S. Sen. Ben Nelson were all highly critical of the decision to invite Ayers. Furlic, in an op-ed in the Omaha World-Herald, compared the Ayers invitation to inviting Osama bin Laden to discuss religion or Josef Mengele to speak on medical ethics.

NU Chancellor Harvey Pearlman seemed to have been caught off guard by the firestorm of criticism when the invitation was announced. Pearlman has a typical insular academic’s view of the world. He just doesn’t get it. In the end, he cancelled the invitation, citing security reasons. No one in Nebraska really buys that excuse, but at least Ayers will not be speaking here.

The entire firestorm over the invitation to Bill Ayers to speak at the University of Nebraska misses a very large point. From the time Bill Ayers plotted the bombing of the Pentagon, the Capitol and New York City police headquarters through his years as a student to his current status as an “education expert,” he has never changed his view of the world. Ayers is, at heart, a radical, America-hating terrorist who wants to destroy the Republic as we know it. He tried to destroy it in the 1970s by setting bombs. He failed. Now he wants to destroy it by poisoning the minds of American students and convincing them to hate their country as much as he does.

10 REASONS BARRACK CHAVEZ OBAMA IS NOT THE ONE
lawrencehoule@yahoo.com

1. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are the causes of this financial disaster. In order to ensure that they were not regulated these corrupt companies bought off congressmen. This is corruption. In just 3 years, these corrupt companies gave Obama $123,000 to buy him off. $123,000. Obama was the second largest recipient of Fannie and Freddie corrupt donations. This is the corruption McCain has fought against his whole life. $123,000 is corruption.

2. Earmark projects are corruption incarnate. Obama had 1 billion dollars worth of earmarks. 1 billion dollars. This is CORRUPTION RUN AMUCK. This money goes to political friends in return for support and donations, relatives, family members. We are in this mess because of this kind of corruption. 1 billion dollars of hard earned tax payer money FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET BOWL OF POLITICAL CORRUPTION.

3. Barrack Obama gave his First cousin $70,000 of tax payer money. $70,000 of hard earned tax payer money to his first cousin. We elect representatives to congress to serve the people. Not to ENRICH themselves. Not to enrich their family members. Not to enrich their political supporters. THIS IS TRULY CORRUPTION.

4. Obama wants to raise taxes on corporations, small businesses, capital gains. If you raise taxes in this economic crisis YOU WILL CAUSE A GREAT DEPRESSION. Business won’t create jobs. People will not invest. The 401 ks of seniors and all Americans won’t be worth anything. The DOW WILL COLLAPSE TO to 4000. The US will become another failed state like Venezuela. It’s that simple. If you want a SECOND GREAT DEPRESSION BARACK OBAMA IS YOUR MAN.

5. Obama wants our troops out of Iraq in 16 months. As General Petraeus has warned such a withdrawal will lead to the collapse of the Iraqi government. Iraq is not Afghanistan. IT IS AT THE VERY CENTER OF THE OIL PRODUCING UNIVERSE. If the Iraqi government collapses, OIL PRICES WILL SOAR TO $200.00/barrel and $10.00/gallon/gas. If you want to pay $10.00/gallon/gas vote Barrack Obama.

6. Barrack Obama called our troops fighting in Afghanistan WAR CRIMINALS. He said that they were air raiding villages and killing innocent civilians. WAR CRIMES. You cannot be commander in chief of our great armed forces and call them WAR CRIMINALS. Not only that but these statements put THE LIVES OF OUR TROOPS AT RISK.

7. When Move On. org - a large money Barrack Obama supporter called General Petraeus ” one of the greatest American generals ” GENERAL BETRAYUS ” Barrack Obama refused to vote on a senate motion defending this great general. You cannot be President of the United States and stand by while one of your generals is being viciously maligned. Obama did this because he didn’t want to lose the money from Move On. Barrack Obama is A COWARD.

8. Barrack Obama gave $800.000 to a organization called Acorn. Acorn is trying to steal this election by fraudulently registering thousands and thousands of voters throughout this country ” registering everything from dead people to cats, dogs. THIS IS CORRUPTION. Obama has a long and illustrious relationship with Acorn. Ladies and gentlemen of America in the rescue package of 700 billion just passed by Congress the Democrats tried to include $500,000,000 for ACORN. DO YOU HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID - 500 MILLION FOR ACORN. THAT’s ONE OF THE REASONS MCCAIN RUSHED BACK TO WASHINGTON TO KILL THIS FRAUDULENT FUNDING. In Chicago, Obama was involved in training Acorn activists to go to the HOMES OF BANK PRESIDENTS AND THREATEN THEM IF THEY DID NOT GIVE OUT FRAUDELENT LOANS THAT COULD NEVER BE REPAID. $500 million to Acorn by the democrats in Congress and $800,000 from Obama. Can you imagine what will happen with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Obama in charge. Acorn will get the 500 million. 100%. Every vote is precious. It is the very essence of our democracy.

9. Bill Ayers was a terrorist who bombed the Pentagon, police stations and homes of people trying to capture him. Obama has a long and illustrious relationship with this arch criminal and hater of the US. Obama received $50 million dollars from Ayers to indoctrinate children in Chicago in revolutionary ideology. NOT READING AND WRITING AND SCIENCE BUT REVOLUTIONARY IDEOLOGY like Chavez teaches in Venezuela . Obama says - he was just a guy living in my neighborhood. Obama doesn’t understand that as President one of your most important obligations is NOT TO LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

10. Obama called the people of this country when he thought nobody was tape recording his great genius - Bitter people clinging to their bibles and their guns. You cannot denigrate the great people of this country and be their president.

Corruption is what this election is all about. McCain must demand justice. Jail the bastards. Jail them all. MUST BE THE BATTLE CRY

October Updates
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 6:26 pm

7 months ago today I had weight loss surgery. In the last few days I have read some forums talking about WLS as the “easy way out” and saying a lot of negative bashing things against it. That really makes me first sad and second pissed off. Anyone who knows me knows that it was far, far, FAR from easy. Hardest thing I ever did in my life including having 6 babies!!! Seriously. NOT the easy way out. But it is what worked for my messed up body and mind and it has led me to a good place. Through a lot of pain, misery, and hard work, I am about 1/3 less of a person than I was 7 mos ago (and that’s a good thing! ha ha). Here are a couple photos that Matt took for me……

IN OTHER NEWS………..

We homeschooled for 5 years. Christian, Bible based homeschool. Our kids have never been in daycare ONE day. We have been very protective and very hands on with our kids. So this going to public school thing gets a little tricky for us sometimes. This is my kids’ second year in public school and their first year at this particular school. We have had to put up with the nastiness out there - the bullies and “other people’s kids” (we all know about THOSE ones).  Well how do we deal with it all??  First of all when our son was told he was going to get punched by a bully his reaction was to tell the bully that he would tell on him if he punched him. Both Matt and I reacted saying, “You tell him that if he ever punches you you’re gonna kick his ass!!!!” Surprised coming from a conservative Christian family? Well, we want our kids to not BE bullies themselves but also to never, ever allow anyone to push them around. You teach people how to treat you and if your reaction to a bully is “I’m gonna tell on you” you’re just gonna be a target. We said we’d go to bat with the school if he ever did have to fight for himself and get in trouble for it too.

That kid who said he was going to punch him stays away from him now and when he is around he is nice and asks my son to play with him and stuff (to which my son generally politely declines). One of my son’s friends is pentecostal and has endured years and years of abuse at the hands of the other kids. If you don’t know what that is - Pentecostal is a strict Christian, most of them do not agree with television or modern pop culture, women wear only dresses and skirts, no makeup, and do not cut their hair. Well this boy is picked on because he is pentecostal. The other kids say things to him like, “You killed Santa” “You burn down churches” “You’re a terrorist” etc…..  And they have done that since my kids started at this school this year. I told my kids 1 if they ever say anything like that or treat other kids nasty like that they will answer to me and it won’t be fun and 2 think about how you would hope a friend would help you if someone was saying those things to you - follow your heart and if it leads you to defend your friend please do.

So, my kids (4 of them go to this school) have pretty much stopped this abuse from going on. They first and foremost stood up to the bullies and told them to stop saying crap like that, followed through with alerting the principal about what was going on, and stuck to their guns by being friends with the picked on kid and being proud of it. My son is like a new person. Since we told our son he has our permission to ALWAYS defend himself and never take threats or violence from *anyone* he has been a changed boy. He is proud, he holds his head up high, he is very confident in himself and has no problem standing up for people and not taking any crap from bullies.

I talked to the mother of the pentecostal boy and she was unaware of all the horrible things that were going on. She knew some of it but not most of it. She said that they raise their kids to turn the other cheek, walk away, never argue, never fight. Well, as great as that is, it has resulted in her child being the target for the last 6 years and making his life miserable. I am not saying she is wrong — she has a very nice young man — but I allow and encourage my kids to stand up for themselves and others, always command respect from others <span style=”font-style: italic”>while respecting others</span>, never stand by and watch the little guy get picked on. If that means throwing a punch someday - so be it. Mom and Dad will be there to back you up and fight for your right to defend yourself. Ask for trouble? Never. Put up with mistreatment or back down to a bully? NEVER.

I think we have good kids. They are polite and good mannered. They are nice to everyone. My oldest got the first student of the month award in school this year. I am so proud of them and I am happy with how we are raising them.

AND POLITICS…………….

Matt rarely gets into a discussion about politics with me. Probably one of the more difficult areas of marriage for us, because I am so passionate and stubborn about it and I also debate so much better than him he walks away with his tail between his legs time and time again and he just doesn’t enjoy that. I generally show no mercy and as a result I have ended up now with a partner who won’t discuss something with me that is very near and dear to my heart and a huge part of my life. (Sorry honey!!)

In having a *nice* conversation with him about it all today though I have come to the conclusion that people may not know exactly where I stand in it all. Because while I am supporting McCain/Palin and have been a Republican most of my life, I honestly do not consider myself Republican anymore. The kind of Republican I *was* doesn’t seem to exist anymore. The Reagan-Republican… it’s all but dead. Michael Reagan himself says the way that his father believed is dead and gone. Ronald Reagan and before him Barry Goldwater were Republicans of the mindset that I believe in.

I consider myself a Libertarian. Why am I voting for McCain then you ask? I am not voting Libertarian because it would be a vote wasted… I mean… if I want to see McCain elected I can’t waste my vote on a candidate that doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell. So, my vote is with McCain and Palin. (And I will say that even though we disagree on some issues I do like them both very much and I think they will lead our country very well).

Anyway… As a Libertarian, I believe that <span style=”font-weight: bold”>rights should be respected for each person</span>. I believe that EVERYONE should have rights, no matter what they practice in their personal life be it homosexuality or abortions or homeschooling or any other number of things that I believe are THEIR business, not the governments. Now I am NOT saying I agree with all of those things, but some things are between me and God, not me and the government. I do not believe there should be laws about those things -  things that I consider to be more of a moral issue than a legal one -  *with the exception of partial birth abortion. I won’t get into the whole abortion thing, I will just say that I would not do it myself, I would not recommend it to anyone, but I can’t see any good done in making it illegal. That’s as far as I will go on that issue. It’s not the governments business IMO, end of story.

I believe in an absolute right to private property & private life. I oppose ANY govt. intervention in the marketplace, religion, etc. (And I am 100% against the “bailout”). The issues that the market had/has were BECAUSE of the govt. intervening, and continue to be made worse because of the govt. intervening… IMO. I think that taxes suck and the govt. shouldn’t be taking my money. I don’t rely on the govt for any services of any kind and I want to keep my money dangit! I do understand though that some tax is necessary.

Back to issues such as same sex marriage or abortion… Using my tax dollars to interfere in people’s lives because our leaders morally oppose something is, to me, unconstitutional. I may <span style=”font-style: italic”>morally </span>oppose those as well, but, again, I think the govt. has no place in that. The government’s business is the law - the laws should be few and far between, as needed only. Laws cannot make a person have morals.

I don’t have near the time to get fully into it all in this blog but I understand that Libertarianism is often thought of as ‘right-wing’ and even though I refer to myself as a right-winger in a lot of ways, I think in general that is a mistake. When it comes to social issues I am actually more of a lefty. [if you are surprised to read that you may want to sit down before you read the rest of this] I don’t agree with laws against marriage of any kind *as long as it’s between fully concenting adults*. While I do not use drugs I am against some of our laws regarding drug use.

I lead a very conservative life and I am raising my children very conservatively. I homeschooled my kids, Christian homeschooled using religious cirriculum, for 5 years. I have been a stay at home mom for the last 12 years because I believe that *I* should raise my kids - no one else. I have never done drugs, got married at the young age of 21 to a man I’d been with since I was 18 and have only ever been with that man….   I mean, I am not liberal almost at all. But I have a lot of liberal friends. I have gay friends who I do not love one iota less because they are gay. I support them having rights just like everyone else. God knows a lot of them would make better parents than others and they shouldn’t be denied that right based on their sexuality!! *IF* I believe that homosexuality is wrong I also believe that it’s between you and God - not me and you. As a God loving Christian I believe that it is absolutely NOT my place to cast judgement on anyone. I am a sinner just like the next guy and the only one fit to judge any of us is God Himself. If you are not a Christian I might pray for you but I will NOT cast judgment on you. I will still love you and I will still treat you with kindness and respect.

I hope that I am doing a good job raising my kids like that as well. I think I am.

I am voting for Palin and McCain proudly, because they are a lot closer to my philosophy that the government needs LESS to do with our lives than more. I love Sarah Palin. I mean, wow, what a great woman. She is amazing and I truly hope she is our next VP.

Just What’s Been Going On…
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 9:43 pm

Well… It’s COLD and rainy and we are supposed to be getting snow… YIKES. Matt is burning garbage tonight. Madison is puking sick… looks like the flu has hit us again. At least we got through her choir concert today before she got sick, and Tristan got to go to cousin William’s birthday party and play laser tag (he had a blast).

We went to the Pumpkin Patch last weekend so there are a few of that (that is a link, click on it!!) and then some of our trail cam. We are trying to catch the mountain lion that is supposedly hanging around but so far all we have gotten are deer and a horse’s ass (Matt claims that is a photo of himself… ha ha ha I didn’t say it I just repeated it!!). It’s a darned pretty horse butt if I do say so though!!

Kids are doing great in school. Madison was the first student of the month for this school year and she was tickled about that. Today she had a choir concert for a statewide choir she got to be a part of, it was really nice and she had a great time. She is playing the flute in band and is excelling at that. She is also in a pop group at school where she is a singer.

Tristan is playing drums and he likes it a lot. He is a comedian all the time, the class clown, funny and never serious which is good sometimes and sometimes it’s just time to be serious so we’re working on that!! He has a Mohawk which he prides himself on making stick up and he wants to get his ear pierced. So far that is not happening.

MacKenzie is doing very well in school and especially has really pretty handwriting. She is going to be a cheerleader on the AppleJacks’ cheerleading squad starting here in a week or so. Madi and Tristan both plan to play on the basketball team. Micki also wants to play violin so we’re working on finding one and then get her into lessons.

Matthew is doing good too - he is quiet and very much a loner. It doesn’t bother him at all. He prefers to be building or digging, playing legos, or drawing. He draws very intricate pictures - lots of detail - he is pretty talented (like his dad). He is very much his own self. Everyday we ask how was school and he says “good” and that’s it….  so we have to do some prying to get stuff out of him!!

Treytan and Charleigh are keeping me busy busy busy at home. Treytan wants to go to school badly. He and Charleigh have a real love hate relationship these days. They fight a lot but also really love each other. We have a lot of temper tantrums these days… something about how we have gotten softer and easier on each kid and now we have a real “baby of the family” spoiled rotten thing going on… bla bla bla bla. I know what you’re all thinking. We made our bed yeah we know. All I can say is, they are winning and it’s not looking real great for mom and dad at this point in time. Prepare the straight jackets and rooms with padded walls! (Yes, of course I am kidding, Really I am! No, really!)

Matt is looking to really light the fire with heartlairfx.com and get some business … in the meantime he has been looking for an evening or weekend job. I guess just like everyone else in the world we’re feeling the crunch of the higher costs of living, less overtime hours, more kid expenses as they get older and more into activities… He had a job that would have been about perfect - but Bobcat objected because it was with a subcontracted company that works for him during the week. I am doing a few things from home - blogging for money (who knew?) and website building, working our passion4lifevitamins business.  If nothing “better” comes along he has been offered a job that is decent starting on the 20th. The downfall is he wanted something PART time and this job includes a 5 week long training - so for 5 weeks he would work 7-3p at Bobcat and then 3:30-11pm training at the other job - 5 days a week for 5 weeks. After that 5 weeks they said he could pretty much make his own hours - 2, 3, 4 days a week, whatever. So…… I don’t know. No matter how we figure it, I can’t get a good enough paying job to put Charleigh and Treytan into daycare (apparently having been a housewife for the last 12 years doesn’t look good on a resume) not to mention work around the other kids’ school and activity schedules, etc.

Did I mention that we have mice? Oh well. I guess I will save that one for next time. And then maybe I can say we HAD mice….. wish us luck.

Well we hope all is well!!

Blessings,
Tarra, Matt, & kids

Long overdue update!!
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 9:33 pm

OK so just a little update about my health and weight loss and all that good stuff…. I have been feeling SO GOOD and have lost a lot of weight (OK so I rounded up when I said 100 pounds and I haven’t exactly actually hit the 100 pound mark yet but I am close!!). I have given away most all my bigger sized clothing (or have it packed and ready to go to new homes) and have had to buy some new stuff so I am not naked… LOL… The worst, well, most expensive anyway, is having to buy new bras. GARSH DARN they are expensive (I can’t wear walmart bras, I have to have the good stuff that is comfortable). So I got new ones like a month ago and they are too big already!! I am going to go broke like this. (Go broke? What am I talking about, I have been broke for a long long time already). So anyway….  I am feeling good and enjoying this a lot. I just got over a horrible nasty upper respitory flu thing, knocked me on my ass for like 2-3 weeks (or so!!) and I felt good for like 3 days and now yesterday and today I am getting all fricken stuffed up again. PLEASE don’t anyone tell me that you get sick a lot after weight loss surgery!!! I hope and pray that isn’t a common side effect.

I should say too that I remain totally OFF my meds for PCOS and diabetes - (no more metformin/glucophage OR byetta for me woo hoo also don’t have to check my blood sugar everyday anymore). I take NOTHING to sleep - ambien went bye-bye in June and I have never looked back! I take only one med to prevent migraines and am doing very well there. My back and neck (herniated disks) are doing very well, as are my ankle/foot problems. My attitude and outlook have improved by leaps and bounds… according to my husband I am a completely new person (or maybe he means more like the person he met/fell in love with/married again). I feel good, that’s all I know.

I think I am to the point where I will stop or really slow down losing weight if I don’t really start to work at it (exersize EVERYday and watch what I eat not just how much I eat… all that stuff). So I gotta get more strict with myself but, it’s totally worth it. I feel so much better, light years better, and I am so thrilled with how it has gone so far. HELL??? Yes. It’s been hard, difficult, miserable at times. But WORTH IT!! and I mean that.

Wishing you all well!!!!

Tarra…..
now back to my pre-ever-pregnancy size - Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
not yet to my goal of AT LEAST what I was when I got married and/or perhaps even a little bit less than that…

OK so by now you have probably heard how much I love Passion4Life Vitamins right? If you want to try these vitamins you can now buy them online on our websites. We also have samples if you want one (email us). Otherwise, buy it from the site you wish, Matt’s,Tarra’s, or Dell’s. The person whose site you buy it from will get the credit.

It doesn’t really matter between Matt and Tarra, but those of you family members be sure to buy from Dell’s site!

Nieces & Nephews… grandma will literally get a check in the mail for $16 for every bottle sold. So support grandma and take an excellent vitamin/mineral supplement.

Here are our sites:
<a href = “http://www.passion4lifevitamins.com/dell”>Dell’s site</a>
<a href = “http://www.passion4lifevitamins.com/matt”>Matt’s site</a>
<a href = “http://www.passion4lifevitamins.com/tarra”>Tarra’s site</a>

We have all been taking this for over a month now and it really IS all
it’s cracked up to be.

My mom has gotten rid of several pills she had
been taking because it’s all in one ounce of this (vitamins, fish
oils, echineacea, glucosamine, and flax seed). She also thinks it has really helped her heal after surgery. I know it’s helped me get the pep back in my step after a long and sloooooowwwww recovery from surgeries in March & April, and Matt says he feels energetic and almost “euphoric”. (No, there’s no weed in there!!! I swear!!) Our kids take it too.

Hope you are all having a great summer!!!

Lots Of Love ~~
Tarra

School For Kids…
Filed under: Tarra's Crazy Life — tarra @ 12:02 pm

We have been trying to figure out what to do with the kids for school this year. Ideally we wanted them in Lutheran school here, because it has a special emphasis on the arts, which they are all very interested in. But it will cost us around $6000 a year to put the kids in there (that’s for the whole family so that isn’t a bad price, but, it’s still $6000 that we don’t really have “laying around”). So we *thought* that Bismarck had to let us into one of the public schools. I called to find out which school we could put them in and was told that they DO NOT accept anyone from out of the district, under any circumstances, unless they pay tuition. Tuition is $5000 PER CHILD to go in to a Bismarck public school. That is A LOT more than the private Lutheran school.

Other options: Apple Creek, overcrowded, no music or arts programs, no extra curricular programs. Naughton, where they went last year, 17 mile drive (mostly gravel) one way, also no music or extra curricular programs. Honestly, I think I am going to have to go to work and put the kids into Lutheran school. It will cost less than public school and they will get the programs we want them to have. We could go back to homeschooling but, we really don’t want to do that either.

Anyone know where a displaced housewife can get a job that works only while the kids are in school AND pays really well???????

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
